For Sydney Contemporary 2026, Art Collective WA showcases four Western Australian artists whose works offer distinct and engaging perspectives on landscape. Featuring paintings by George Haynes, Nigel Hewitt and Tony Windberg alongside ceramics by Sandra Black, the exhibition explores the many ways landscape can be experienced, remembered and reimagined.

George Haynes captures the shifting light and vibrant colour of the Australian environment, while Nigel Hewitt’s ash-infused canvases speak to cycles of fragility, resilience and renewal. Tony Windberg’s richly textured surfaces suggest layers of geological time and traces of human presence, and Sandra Black’s elegant vessels reflect the rhythms of land, sky and water. The show is a rich interplay of ideas and materials that invites audiences to see the landscape through multiple lenses.
