Datum is a reference point. An example of a datum is the physical marker from which geographic location is calculated. A cast bronze disc (Point Zero) is embedded in stone paving at the intersection of an organised mass of state institutions including the former Treasury, the State Law Courts, Saint George's Cathedral, the City of Perth Library, Council House and now the site of an art gallery (Art Collective WA).

The exhibition includes sculptures, printed images, moving images and sound works. Augmenting the space between representation and the corporeal, sculptural forms appear in hypothetic architectural spaces imbued with luminescence. Computational scripting of pure math generates geometric variances to form light projections reacting to time code.

Artist Interview: Saturday 23 February, 2pm. With Andre Lipscombe.
