Parliament House Artist-in-Residence
Joanna Lamb’s new artwork The View from Here has been officially launched at Parliament House, created during her tenure in the 2025 Parliament of Western Australia – Edith Cowan University Artist-in-Residence Program. Her vivid cityscape now becomes part of this significant visual record of WA’s civic landscape.

Mid West Art Prize

First Encounters
Now open at the WA Shipwrecks Museum, First Encounters examines global VOC histories through the lens of contemporary practice. Paul Uhlmann’s paintings and artist books respond powerfully to the 1629 Batavia shipwreck and Pelsaert’s journal, tracing the tension between beauty, brutality and moments of first contact. Trevor Vickers on TV
