Angela Stewart is on Billboard

Angela Stewart commissioned by City of Joondalup

The City's Inside-Out Billboard Project is a digital representation of a commissioned artwork displayed on a 3 metre x 6 metre commercial billboard at the Joondalup Library.

We are delighted that our member artist Angela Stewart is the current recipient. In 2013 another of our member artists Helen Smith was commissioned, showing ‘Alighiero e Boetti from Wikipedia, Commonwealth of Nations’.

Artists are invited to the commission by judges’ recommendation attached to either the Community Art Exhibition (held in June) or the Community Invitation Art Award (held in October). Each artwork is displayed for six months at the Joondalup Library and rotated to be displayed at a later stage on a second billboard installed at the Joondalup Courthouse.

Other previously commissioned artists include Chloe Tupper, Christophe Canato, Eric Hynynen, Amy Perejuan-Capone, Julian Tennant, Andy Quilty, Judy Rogers and Dita E Hagedorn.
